More about me......
I’m an artist located in Townsville North Queensland and have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember.
With a background as an environmental scientist, it isn’t difficult to see why I have a preference for landscape and nature inspired subjects. And, living in North Queensland, I am fortunate to be surrounding by a variety of landscapes including coastal, rainforest and the outback providing the inspiration for my artwork.
I find the hardest part about painting is settling on the composition of what I'm about to paint as I heavily invest much time, thinking and process in developing the painting. I take a lot of photos for reference but don’t necessary stay true to them when composing a painting as I want my work to look like a painting. I aim to have viewers of my artwork making connections to the place or the subject depicted.
I am fortunate to have won awards with my artwork including 2022 Townsville Art Awards Best Oil painting, and through having my artwork now located throughout Australia and the world!
